What is European formaldehyde emission standards ?

What is the E0, E1 and E2 standards for wood furniture ?
- E0 standard : is a higher level standard than E1 and E2 that indicates formaldehyde not more than 0.07 ppm. But it is not commonly used to make furniture for general home use because it is quite expensive according to the quality. They are most often made into furniture with an emphasis on health safety. For small children, the elderly, or patients, including interior furniture for hospitals, laboratories, schools, etc.
- E1 standard : is a standard that is at a level safe for health. Not harmful to the respiratory system Does not cause allergies No pungent smell Suitable for use as furniture for general interior decoration in houses, general buildings, as well as places that emphasize health safety such as schools, offices, hospitals, hotels, resorts because it contains low maldehyde not more than 0.1 ppm.
- E2 standard : E2 standard is a standard that will contain higher levels of formaldehyde than specified. Nowadays, this standard wood is rarely found in furniture because it may cause harm to future users from excessive formaldehyde accumulation in the body.
